The Dallas County Criminal Courts Building is a Renaissance Revival civic building at 501 Main Street in Dallas, designed by architect H. A. Overbeck and completed in 1915, originally combining courts and a jail in one structure. It has been a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark since 1986.

🔍

Higginbotham-Pearlstone Building

🔍

Old Cumberland Hill School

A Texas Historical Commission historical marker commemorating the Old Cumberland Hill School, a Victorian brick schoolhouse built in 1888 at 1901 N. Akard in Dallas. The marker was erected in 1971 and the site is designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark.

When Dallas stops being the backdrop and becomes the game

There is a difference between passing through Dallas and feeling part of what happens there. Shadows of Dallas closes that gap by turning the city around you into the setting for a spy story. A detail that looked ordinary a moment ago may become the clue your team needs next.

The experience gives your group momentum. One discovery leads to a theory, one theory leads to a decision, and every decision moves the story forward. You are still exploring the real city, but now you have a reason to pay attention, compare perspectives, and notice the moments that a conventional sightseeing checklist can miss.

Choose the version of the day that suits you. Join an open team and meet people through the mission, reserve privately for your own group, or make it an adventure for two. Every format supports 2–6 players and puts the experience—not a tour guide—at the center of your time in Dallas.

What happens after you step into the story

Your phone introduces the experience, but it does not replace the people beside you. During the 3-hour adventure, the group observes, talks, tests ideas, and chooses how to respond. There is no live guide carrying the conversation or solving the uncertain moments. The satisfying part is working them out together.

Bring a charged phone and prepare to explore the destination. Give each player room to notice something, challenge an assumption, or suggest the next move. The Quest becomes more engaging when the group shares the investigation instead of handing every decision to one person.

The route and missions remain undisclosed until play begins, so the discoveries still feel like discoveries. Use the published Quest page for current booking details, then arrive ready to see Dallas with a different kind of attention.
