The city you know, with a story running underneath it

There is a difference between passing through Taipei and getting properly caught up in it. Taipei: Secret City gives you a reason to look: a trail across the real city, a case that opens up as you follow it, and a detail on an ordinary street that turns out to matter. Come with your own group or join a team on the day.

What to expect

🔍

The city becomes the game

Taipei stops being scenery. The streets around you are where the case plays out.

🔍

No guide, no clipboard

Nobody leads you round or talks at you. Your team decides where to go and how long to linger.

🔍

However you want to play

Bring your own group, join a team on the day, or play as a pair. Teams run up to 6.

A glimpse of Taipei

🔍

臺北偶戲館

The Puppetry Art Center of Taipei (台北偶戲館, PACT) is an arts center in Songshan District, Taipei, dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and teaching puppetry culture. It was established after Lin Ching-fu donated his personal puppet collection to Taipei City Government and officially opened on 7 August 2004.

🔍

富邦美術館

The Fubon Art Museum (富邦美術館) is a private art museum in the Fubon Xinyi A25 complex, Xinyi District, Taipei, planned in 2015 and opened on 4 May 2024 by the Fubon Art Foundation under founding director Dr. Maggie Tsai. It occupies a five-story, 3,000-ping space with three main galleries and showcases both its permanent collection and internationally collaborated temporary exhibitions.

🔍

臺北府城隍廟

Taipei Fu Cheng Huang Temple is a city god temple in Songshan District, Taipei, originally founded in 1881 by the Taipei Prefecture governor through joint official and civilian funding and re-established at its current Hulin Street location in 1921. It is managed by Zhengyi Daoist priests and continues to serve as a site of City God worship.

When Taipei stops being the backdrop

Taipei: Secret City turns the city around you into the setting for a spy story. A doorway you would have passed without a glance becomes the thing your team needs. A carving turns out to be the answer. The city is exactly as busy and real as it always is; you are just moving through it with a reason.

The afternoon builds its own momentum. One discovery leads to a theory, the theory leads somewhere, and somewhere along the way one of you spots the thing nobody else has seen. That moment is the one people describe afterwards.

Pick the version that suits you. Join a team on the day, book privately for your own group, or make it an afternoon for two. Teams run up to 6, and the experience — not a guide — is what carries it.

What happens once you step into the story

The story arrives as you go, but the good part happens between the people beside you. Over 3-hour your team looks, talks, tries things and decides what to do next. Nobody is carrying the conversation for you and nobody is handing over answers.

Everything is optional. Solve, perform, film, direct, or simply come along and enjoy it — there is a way to be useful on every mission and nobody is put on the spot.

The route stays hidden until you begin, so the discoveries stay discoveries. Check the published Quest page for booking details, then arrive ready to see Taipei differently.
