Meet Your Team
Up to six strangers, one team. The awkward bit lasts about ninety seconds.

LISBON • SEPTEMBER 12
Meet new people. Explore Lisbon. See what happens.
A free launch departure in Lisbon. Three hours, a small team of people you have not met, and a city to get lost in. Come on your own and we will put you on a team — that is the whole point of a shared departure.
Meeting people as an adult is weirdly hard. Standing in a bar hoping someone talks to you is worse. This is the opposite of that.
You show up, you get put on a team of 2-6, and within minutes you're laughing with people you've just met, doing something a bit silly together, and finding out everyone's story without anybody having to ask “so, what do you do?”
The mission is the excuse. It gives you something to do with your hands, something to laugh about, and a reason to talk to strangers that doesn't feel like networking. What you leave with is three hours of shared jokes and a few people you'd happily see again.

Up to six strangers, one team. The awkward bit lasts about ninety seconds.
Your phone hands you a story and sets you loose. No guide, no clipboard, nobody talking at you.
Wander the city together, swapping stories like you've known each other for years.
Take the photo. Do the voice. Everyone's in it together — that's half the fun.
Someone will have the idea that cracks it. That feels good when it's yours and better when it isn't.
The quest ends. Whether the group does is up to you.
You don't need to bring anyone. Solo players are matched with other players into a team of 2-6, which is the whole point of a shared departure — a few hours with people you'd never otherwise have met. Bring friends if you'd rather; you'll meet the rest of your team either way.
If nobody else joins by the cutoff, you can choose to play solo, reschedule to a future departure, or receive a full refund according to the applicable event policy.
You're never left without an option.
A bar gives you nothing to do but talk, which is exactly why talking is hard there. In Lisbon you've got somewhere to be, something to figure out, and a few other people with the same problem.
Nobody has to perform. Nobody has to network. You just end up talking, because you're already doing something together.
You do not need to bring a group.

Yes. This departure costs nothing, no card is needed, and there is nothing to pay on the day. It is a launch event — the quest normally costs €25 per person.
Solo bookings are open by default, which means you are matched with the other people booked onto this departure into a team of 2-6. You will meet them at Largo do Rato at the start. If you would rather keep your booking to the people you came with, choose a private group at checkout.
This is a launch departure, so a professional photographer will be walking the route with the teams. At checkout there is a box, ticked by default, agreeing that we may use photos of you to promote GoQuestIRL. Unticking it is completely fine and changes nothing about your place on the quest: let your host know when you arrive and the photographer will keep you out of shot. Whatever you choose, you can change it later by emailing privacy@goquestirl.com.
Three hours. A small team. A city. Book your spot and turn up.
